VR Park opens in Miami

A new virtual reality arcade has opened in North Miami’s Ninja Lounge facility. The arcade spans 14,000 square-foot and offers a collection of VR amusements and over 50 playable titles. Players use VR headsets and specialised equipment to plug into the simulations, crated by Russian design company Playground.

The arcade also houses a Virtual Reality Arena, where a group of players can compete in co-operative games, the Extreme Machine stationary VR ride with 27 titles, including racing and skiing activities, and a VR escape room which challenges players to solve a murder-mystery, find clues, and uncover a killer.

“The graphics are better than ever right now, which is probably why VR is so popular,” says VR Park general manager Michael Lombrozo.

VR Park is part of Dezerland, an entertainment complex covering 150,000 that is set to open on June 1.
