Spree Interactive launches educational VR experience Mission to Mars

Spree Interactive, a specialist in arena scale free-roam VR experiences, has partnered with European  ProSiebenSat.1 and Hollywood VFX house Pixomondo to release educational VR experience Mission to Mars at Munich shopping mall Forum Schwanthalerhohe.

With an educational narrative from ProSieben’s “Galileo” , the world’s most successful science magazine TV show, and game production by Hollywood VFX house Pixomondo, Mission to Mars is a 15 minute multiplayer VR adventure that investigates humanity’s possible survival on planet Mars.

Available only for the location-based multiplayer free-roam SPREE Arena system, Mission to Mars allows up to 10 players to interact and solve challenges all at the same time. Using the SPREE Arena’s state of the art technology, players roam the arena and dive into the immersive world, imagining and experiencing a journey to Mars. Players are divided into small teams and assigned different tasks to get to know the dangers and virtues of the red planet while gathering information and cooperating with their team members.

The high throughput and player capacity of Mission to Mars makes it a perfect addition to Shopping Malls, Museums / Science Centres, and Family Entertainment Centres. The educational content makes the experience especially desirable for locations looking for an attraction to encourage school field trips.

The Mission to Mars experience will open its doors to the general public at the Forum Schwanthalerhohe shopping mall in Munich on Thursday 6th August as a paid attraction and will run through to the end of August.

“Adding the SPREE Arena and the Mission to Mars experience to our Summer Holiday offerings is very exciting for us”. Commented Lars Sammann Forum Schwanthalerhohe’s Center Manager. “We are always looking for fun and unique ways to attract new guests. It’s a great family experience and we are sure our guests will be delighted.
