San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance partners with Attractions.io

San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, an international non-profit conservation organisation that operates two world-class parks, the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, has partnered Attractions.io to launch two new apps in line with their new brand launch. The apps play an integral role in creating a unified, branded experience for visitors to both parks.

As the largest zoological membership association in the world, San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance wanted to create a better digital experience for its 500,000 members by introducing the option to store their tickets and membership passes digitally.

The new apps will create a seamless digital ticketing experience for guests, allowing a scan-and-go method of entry upon arrival. This also supports sustainability, by reducing the number of paper tickets and printed maps.

In recent years, app adoption at popular attractions such as zoos has increased, thanks to their ability to overcome communications challenges, deliver measurable improvements to the guest experience and in recent months, enable social distancing.

The apps will also help to support the conservation agenda by identifying more engaged visitors and sharing relevant information about the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance’s conservation efforts and how they can help the cause.

Damien Lasater, associate director of marketing at San Diego Zoo and Safari Park, said: “We’re really excited about this new partnership with Attractions.io. We recognise the importance of technology in future-proofing the guest experience and meeting the expectations of our guests and members. These apps will be an integral part of our vision for a connected, on-brand digital offering that adds more value and creates a better experience for day visitors and members alike.”

Danielle Bastiaens, head of delivery at Attractions.io, added: “We’re incredibly proud to be able to support San Diego Zoo as one of the world’s leading wildlife organisations. We’re confident that the new app will make significant and measurable improvements to the guest experience at the Zoo and Safari Park and unlock new opportunities to further the fantastic conservation work they do.”
