Intercard ready to exhibit at Theme Park Expo Vietnam

With a booming economy and a young population (60% under 30 years of age), Vietnam is a fast-growing market for theme parks and family entertainment centres.

Demand is increasing for cashless technology, and from August 21-22 an Intercard team headed by Asia Pacific sales manager Jerry Heinz will be at the Theme Park Expo Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City. Scott Sherrod, CEO of Intercard, will also attend the show along with Lynda Brotherton, Intercard’s global marketing director.

Visitors to booth #57 at the Military Zone 7 Indoor Sports Complex in Ho Chi Minh City will find out why leading attractions in Southeast Asia as well as Australia, India and China rely on Intercard for innovative and dependable cashless technology that boosts revenues and improves customer service.

The company develops all of its hardware and software in-house and has development teams in the Philippines and in St. Louis, Missouri. At the show Intercard will demo its new iTeller Element, a self-service kiosk designed for the route operator and arcades with fewer than 30 games. Also on display will be the versatile i3 reader and the Edge Mobile App Collection for arcade management, the amusement industry’s first collection of mobile management tools. “The mobile future is here,” says Jerry Heinz, “and The Edge lets operators make the most of it.”

The Edge Mobile App Collection builds on iService, the industry’s first mobile management app, which Intercard introduced in 2017. iService makes it simple to track and manage every arcade game at one or more locations. Users can remotely put a game out of service for maintenance and technicians can use it to track repair information and when the game was placed back into service. All information is automatically updated on the server and in the cloud.

With the addition of two new apps, the Edge Mobile App Collection helps Intercard customers do even more with mobile technology. Intercard Upshot is a card management app that FEC proprietors can provide to their customers under their own brand. The app allows the customer to easily add value to multiple game cards directly from their mobile device. This means there is no need to interrupt the game action to go to a kiosk, and users can even recharge cards before arriving at the centre.

The Inventory app assists staff in maintaining their merchandise and redemption inventory by providing easy access to inventory logs and the ability to adjust inventory. All of this can be done from an Android or iOS mobile device, reducing the labour and equipment cost of inventory management and eliminating mistakes.
