Immersive Gamebox launching Black Mirror experience

Certain Immersive Gamebox locations in the UK will be launching a new experience based on the hit TV show Black Mirror from next week.

Black Mirror Careers, a new immersive gaming experience based on the Netflix show, places gamers in a dystopian future where AI has rendered human professions obsolete.

The game will launch on February 27 at Immersive Gamebox locations in London Southbank, London Shoreditch, Gravity Wandsworth, Gravity One – Liverpool, Gravity Xscape – Yorkshire, Manchester Arndale and Lakeside, Essex.

When players enter the game, they enrol in the Black Mirror Careers’ assessment programme, where they will participate in a series of tests and challenges designed to measure reasoning, communication and leadership skills.

Challenges includes mazes, shape-building and 3D virtual paddleball. Groups between two and six players can take on the experience.

Players will experience life as a door-to-door NFT salesperson, a human pet for advanced AI and as a security guard for the last tree in the Amazon.

The experience has been created in partnership with Banijay, the team behind the TV series, and uses technology such as projection mapping, 3D motion tracking and surround sound to immerse players in the experience.

Will Dean, founder and CEO of Immersive Gamebox, said: “Black Mirror Careers gives both fans of the TV show and people new to the concept a chance to experience a fully imagined dystopian universe in a fun and exciting way.

“The Black Mirror Careers experience explores some really dark concepts with tongue-in-cheek humour and a playful twist and we think audiences will love it.”
