Ellis Island Museum’s Modern Transformation
Scheduled for completion by 2026, the Ellis Island Museum’s renovation promises to be ‘extraordinary’.
With a a $100 million project underway, visitors will soon see this reimagined experience ‘launching’ this historic landmark into the 21st century.
These ambitious changes will combine a modernised, new life into the iconic museum, offering visitors with expanded exhibits, improved accessibility, and enhanced visitor experiences.
Each floor of the museum will include immersive galleries- with artefacts, maps, and art work that bring history to life (pre-Ellis to post-Ellis).
Technological improvements also play a huge part, in the development of the museum. With new self- guided tours, spoken in 12 languages, including American Sign Language.
