Triotech enters VR market with Ubisoft tie-in

Attraction will feature well known IP Raving Rabbids and Assassin's Creed

Triotech is entering the virtual reality market through a tie-up with French video games giant Ubisoft to produce a small footprint VR attraction.

The publisher will provide content for the game, which is launching at IAAPA this week.

“We feel that with this solution we have a strong offering to the market when considering both the content and the technology”

The new attraction uses virtual reality and combines complete immersion and interactivity in a small footprint. The product is fully modular so that it can fit practically any space from 10 square metres or more. It is powered by technology from Asterion VR, a specialist in the development of indoor Walk VR experiences and a technology partner of Triotech.

“We have watched the evolution of Virtual Reality technology closely over the last few years,” said  Triotech CEO Ernest Yale. “We feel that with this solution we have a strong offering to the market when considering both the content and the technology but most importantly, the guest experience.”

“This partnership is part of Ubisoft’s strategy to open new doors to our rich video game worlds such as Rabbids and Assassin’s Creed, enabling us to create immersive experiences for our fans while reaching out to new audiences”, added Deborah Papiernik, senior vice president of new business for Ubisoft.
