This new series of pinball games celebrates the 50th anniversary of the esteemed role-playing game, DUNGEONS & DRAGONS (D&D). Players around the world will embark on an exhilarating adventure into the Forgotten Realms, encountering legendary foes such as a red dragon, gelatinous cube, mimic, Sammaster the lich, Xanathar the beholder, an owlbear, and exploring notable locations in Faerûn, including Arabel and Westgate. In the DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: The Tyrant’s Eye pinball games, players assume the roles of elite members of the Dragonshield Guild, tasked with thwarting the dragon queen Tiamat, who is plotting her resurgence and igniting the War of Dragons, with Xanathar, Balinor, and Sammaster vying for dominance. Participants will immerse themselves in a fantastical realm beneath the glass, merging the excitement of pinball with the iconic D&D universe in an unprecedented manner.
Battle Rath the Relentless, a formidable red dragon and the pinnacle of animatronic technology in pinball, adeptly responds to player actions through sophisticated multi-axis movement and features advanced omnidirectional impact sensing. Voiced by the renowned Michael Dorn, players strive to conquer Rath the Relentless using pinballs and by striking the 3-bank target to seize its treasure. When Rath unleashes its awe-inspiring fire, multiple pinballs are expelled from its mouth, so players must remain vigilant. A metal shield can be activated between the flippers, providing not only defense against attacks but also aiding in playfield shots.
Delve into a realm of mystery and excitement as you navigate hidden passageways, encounter an electromagnet-powered gelatinous cube that immobilizes the pinball, and explore dynamic dungeon levels accessible via a disappearing playfield trap door. Additional features include Fizmo’s store, where players can obtain unique items, a treasure chest that releases mimic monsters, and numerous secrets waiting to be discovered.
