A roaring start for Sandham’s new go-karts
A new 150m racetrack has debuted at Sandham Gardens, featuring six battery powered electric karts that can run simultaneously. Sandham Karts is situated by the boating lake, overlooking Sandown beach, and is suitable for children aged 4-12.
“Many visitors have already expressed an interest in coming back again, so it is certainly proving a big hit with kids.” said Christian Zanti, operations manager. “We’re thrilled to see that the latest addition to Sandham Gardens is proving so popular and we hope it will boost the number of visitors coming to the area.”
The new track represents a £60,000 investment, and the latest phase of development at Sandham Gardens by Heritage Attractions Ltd, who also operate The Needles Landmark Attraction on the Island. Additionally, the Isle of Wight Council recently backed plans to open a high-ropes course in the area – due to welcome guests in 2019.
Ready, steady, go! Our Go-Kart track has been designed with as many challenging twists and turns as possible to really test your little drivers’ skills and reflexes as they speed around the course. #gokarts #IsleofWight #familyfun pic.twitter.com/bvoDBvIJ0o
