Pete Barto joins Extreme Engineering

Pete Barto, an industry icon and seasoned veteran in the amusement industry, has joined Extreme Engineering as vice president of sales and strategic partnerships. Barto has served in the industry for over 15 years, previously working at IAAPA, several roller coaster manufacturers, and Hersheypark. His executive role with Extreme Engineering will be an exciting one, helping the company grow their wide range of services.

With over 25 years in experience, Extreme Engineering is a leading supplier of family coasters, engineering design and adventure rides. Key products including the Cloud Coaster roller coaster, High-Action Adventure parks and Fly Wire ziplines.

He will be responsible for growing the family coaster and engineering design division of the company, including working close with industry partners. “It’s an honor to work beside Pete. We’ve always seen him as an industry leader. Pete knows everyone and everyone knows Pete. We are excited for the next direction in pivoting forward,” stated Phil Wilson, executive vice president of Extreme Engineering.

Early in Pete’s career he received the Spirit Award from McDonald’s, while obtaining his degree from McDonald’s Hamburger University, a Certificate of Innovation for developing an employee recruitment/retention program. He also received an Honorable Mention from McDonald’s corporate office for the regional launch of a new product (Fruit and Yogurt Parfaits). Pete received his MBA in Strategic Leadership from Messiah University, and a Human Communications undergraduate degree from James Madison University. “We are proud to have Pete a part of our growth strategy. Pete Barto will officially start as in his new position on 20 July 2020.
