The Loro Parque Group is celebrating: one million visitors have visited its three parks so far this year. This figure demonstrates the enormous interest that tourism has in the group’s offerings, supported by the quality of the facilities, the creation of top-tier experiences, and the commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism that Loro Parque, Poema del Mar, and Siam Park develop in all their areas of activity.
This success is much more than just a number, as explained by Cybell Kiessling, Administrative Director of the Loro Parque Group. “This million visitors we are celebrating now is much more than a business success. Thanks to them, we can continue working on our commitment to species and the projects we develop in that field around the world. Additionally, with each person who visits the park, we manage to advance the essential work of awareness and education, which is the foundation of our effort.”
In this regard, Cybell Kiessling emphasized that “the education of new generations in the love and respect for species is achieved through their knowledge” and highlighted the effort made to ensure that schoolchildren, university students, and researchers can visit the park’s facilities. “It is indispensable that young people learn about species to foster a commitment to their protection. That is our educational goal at Loro Parque. This million visitors is an incomparable tool to achieve it.”
Today’s tourism, combining its capacity as an economic engine with environmental respect, requires destinations that, like those of the Loro Parque group, represent this commitment. In a context where sustainability is a priority for the tourism industry, the business group, which in addition to the three theme parks includes Brunelli’s Restaurant and the Hotel Botánico & The Oriental Spa Garden, develops a self-sufficiency system that allows the production of clean energy in both water and electrical resources.

Experiential Tourism
Another factor that makes a visit to any of the three theme parks of the Loro Parque Group unique is the development of an offering that increasingly promotes visits towards experiential tourism: a different formula where visitors seek events that make their visit unique. The Administrative Director of the group wanted to thank the customers who visit the three parks’ facilities each year.
“The most satisfying thing is seeing that we have a million happy customers, people who have had a wonderful experience at Loro Parque, Siam Park, or Poema del Mar. And they let us know this on social media, in guestbooks… We are very happy and very grateful to each of our visitors,” said Cybell Kiessling.
Loro Parque, known for its constant innovation, has created a new attraction that has become the highlight with an immersive experience: Coral Kingdom. The space offers visitors the sensation of walking on the seabed, while giant whales, jellyfish, and other marine animals swim overhead. The star of the exhibition is the enormous atoll: a coral reef with over 8,000 corals and 10,000 fish from the Indo-Pacific. This space adds to others that already provided a sensory immersion for visitors, such as Katandra Treetops, Oceania, or Treasures of Africa, the aviaries where tropical birds fly around people.
Siam Park is an experience in itself: the water park, recognized by TripAdvisor customers as the best water and theme park in the world nine times in a row, continues to reinvent itself. Its new adrenaline master, Saifa, is an irresistible attraction for thrill-seekers, water enthusiasts, and fun lovers. An unbeatable plan that transforms into an opportunity for a nocturnal adventure on summer nights, where music and light effects take center stage.
In Gran Canaria, Poema del Mar offers an immersion in the oceanic and aquatic world. Through a journey filled with harmony and beauty, the aquarium provides visitors with sensations akin to being on a different planet. Its immense Deep Sea window, the largest screen of its kind in the world, is the setting where the amazed visitor will feel the ocean’s vastness and its creatures in a magical moment of enjoyment.
