Newby Hall and Gardens in Ripon has launched its most ambitious sculpture trail to date, featuring more than 60 works by 27 nationally and internationally-acclaimed artists.

Newby25 opens today (Friday, June 20) and will be the largest display in the 19-edition history of its biennial outdoor art exhibition, including diverse artistic styles and mediums.

Orlando Compton, whose family owns Newby Hall, curated Newby25, and said: “The expanded route and scale make the 19th bi-annual sculpture trail our most ambitious to date. It is an elegant fusion of contemporary art and natural beauty within Newby’s treasured heritage gardens and sculptures.

“From finely worked bronze to repurposed steel, glass, stone and resin, each piece of art is thoughtfully positioned to enhance the surrounding landscape, creating a unique dialogue between art and nature.”

The trail opens until September 28. Ticket entry to Newby Hall and Gardens includes access to the sculpture exhibition.
