New outdoor attractions at Colin Glen Forest Park, Ireland

Colin Glen Forest Park in Belfast, Northern Ireland is set to launch a number of world class outdoor attractions in the coming months. The Black Bull Run, Ireland’s first Alpine Coaster and the two Dual Ziplines, Forest Flyover and River Rapid, Ireland’s longest Zipline are due to launch in summer 2021, subject to government restrictions.

The new attractions are situated at the top of the park’s 200 acre forest park with mind-blowing views of Belfast City and beyond.

The Black Bull Run is located at the Top Station in the Forest Park. Guests will travel through the forest, twisting and turning, downhill and up, through tunnels and over the river, in and out of the trees. 565 metres in length with a max speed of 25mph/40kph, guests control the speed on the beautiful woodland course.

The two new Dual Ziplines, Forest Flyover and River Rapid, are located at the Top Station in the Forest Park. Guests climb the 15 metre tower to get into their starting position while hanging on for dear life as they zip down the line, taking in the mind-blowing views over the city and valley of County Down.

Forest Flyover Zipline is 235-metres long with take off from 15-metre tower, zipping over The Black Bull Run Coaster and Mountain Bike trails at up to 40mph before landing at a 5-metre tower.

River Rapid Zipline, meanwhile, is 700-metres long with take off from 25-metre tower, zipping over the Colin Glen forest park, The Black Bull Run coaster, Mountain Bike trails and crossing the Colin River twice at up to 55mph and a 16% gradient.
