New FEC for Wisconsin Mall

Hub City Adventure will feature laser tag, arcades, mini-golf

A new FEC featuring laser tag, mini-golf and arcade games is opening at Hub City Adventure in the Marshfield Mall, Wisconsin, next year.

The centre will be located at a former Steve & Barry’s on the south side of the mall. Building is due to be completed by early or mid-January.

“We have been working for this for a while and we are glad it’s happening in our town,” said co-owner Mike Schreiner. “There is bowling and rollerskating elsewhere, but this is like the only thing of its kind in Marshfield.”

“We want to bring families together and create this to give back to the community of Marshfield,” he added.

Mike Schreiner has wasted no time getting involved with youth in the city and said the Marshfield art program will be painting a mural near the entrance.

The laser tag room will be painted to look like a toxic waste site, with slime on the walls and other kid-friendly props. There will be a short instructional video for the kids to watch and then 15-minute sessions of laser tag.

The mini-golf will be nine holes; four of them will be black-light holes with glowing golf balls. The 11,000-square foot building will also feature prize arcade games like rollerball and basketball.

“We hope this can turn into the go-to place for kids to come and just have something to do,” Schreiner said.
