Slick City Action Park, a Missouri-based company founded in 2021, has announced Milford as its first New England location for an indoor slide park franchise. Slick City currently has 17 locations scattered across 10 states, with plans to increase that to as many as 74 within the next year.
Milford franchisee Elliot Field said he owned another family entertainment centre in New Jersey, and now wants to bring the same type of entertainment to Massachusetts.
“I got the territory because I thought this would be a great place to do it, and a place I wanted to live, and a good addition to the community,” Mr Field said.
Slick City Action Park offers visitors a variety of dry slides in all shapes and sizes. Mr Field describes the experience as “a water park without any water”.
Some slides reach the ceiling, while others are smaller and meant for all ages. For those wanting more of a thrill, there are high-speed slides that can launch riders in the air, while others are more leisurely, Mr Field said.
The Milford location, at 31 Beaver Street, will offer a party area as well as a cafe that will sell concessions such as pizza.
Slick City Action Park will be available for all ages with a designated area for younger children. Field said about 25% of its visitors are over age 18.
Milford slide park is expected to open in spring 2026, with construction expected to begin soon.
