Construction of the £30m snow centre is expected to begin in the autumn with the facility aiming to open to the public in September 2019. It will feature two ski slopes, an ice wall, trampoline park, climbing walls, a play area for children, indoor skydiving centre and retail facilities and operator Cool Runnings (NE) Ltd say they expect it will attract 2.25million visitors per year.
