The Namco Funscape Tamworth site has become the first in the UK to introduce a full suite of Embed cashless system upgrades, with the latest smartTOUCH+ readers, 5G for faster card transactions and a sharper 3.5” colour screen
The smarter, faster, and supercharged technology also features enhanced speakers for clearer sound, adding to the winning experience, along with KIOSK+, Embed’s latest self-service kiosk with an enhanced processor and added security features.
For guests, the smartTOUCH+ debit card readers mean faster, more reliable transactions and less time spent queuing, with Mobile Wallet support allowing players to tap and play directly from their phone and every reader doubling as a balance check station. For staff, the new system reduces manual handling, ending coin jams and maintenance downtime.
The slimmer KIOSK+ handles guest card registration, credit loading, and upsell promotions, and allows visitors to purchase access to rides and attractions without requiring staff intervention with its BOOKINGS integration. With one of the slimmest physical footprints in the industry, the kiosk frees up valuable floor space, giving the venue room for additional games and attractions to boost revenue.
The upgrade is part of a raft of general enhancements across the FEC brand’s UK estate, with more developments expected to be announced throughout 2026.
