A new immersive entertainment centre is set to open in Slough next month.

Mega City, located at 233–249 High Street, spans 55,000sq ft over three floors and promises a full lineup of games and social experiences for all ages.

Originally scheduled to open in May, the launch has been delayed to mid-June to allow for final operational preparations.

The centre will feature 130 arcade machines, 10 bowling lanes, a laser tag arena for up to 24 players, batting cages, virtual reality experiences, karaoke rooms, and AR darts.

The opening is expected to create more than 80 jobs and boost visitor numbers to the town centre.

In a statement, Mega City, said: “At its heart, Mega City is about bringing people together.

“We wanted to create a place where different generations can enjoy shared experiences, feel welcome, and make real memories.”

Run by the same family behind Airport Bowl, the centre represents an £11 million investment in Slough’s leisure sector. It aims to offer an inclusive, high-energy environment for families, friends, and corporate groups.

The venue’s design features neon signage, statement lighting, and a dramatic central atrium that connects each level.

The entire experience is cashless, designed for speed and simplicity; guests can purchase credits for arcade and laser maze games at in-venue kiosks and receive a play card that tracks points and prize winnings.

For experiences such as bowling, laser tag, and VR, bookings generate a QR code that can be scanned at each activity station for instant access.

The centre will also feature a food and drinks offering focused on comfort food classics. The menu includes items such as butter chicken burgers, loaded fries, classic hot dogs, churros, and waffle tacos. There are vegetarian and vegan options as well as a dedicated kids’ menu with burgers, pizza, and chick’n and fries.

Mega City sources its attractions and technology from around the world, including the US, India, China, Belgium, Italy, and the UK.

Positioned just an eight-minute walk from the Elizabeth Line and with on-site parking, the venue is easily accessible from London and across the wider region.
