Legoland Korea Resort to open May 2022

Legoland Korea Resort, set to open in Chuncheon, South Korea, has officially announced plans for the Resort’s grand opening to take place in May 2022.

Legoland Korea Resort has revealed its grand opening date to be 5 May 2022, in line with Korea’s Children’s Day, and has marked the announcement with the release of a limited edition ‘1st to Play’ Annual Pass.

The ‘1st to Play’ Annual Pass is an exclusive annual pass with limited quantities, promising the opportunity to be one of the first to preview Legoland Korea Resort’s opening and experience the theme park’s brand new attractions.

The limited edition Annual Passes were recently awarded to Kid Reporters of Legoland Korea Resort, who attended the opening date announcement event.

Kid Reporters aged 7 to 13, who were announced earlier this year, are now conducting their roles in reporting on the special moments of Legoland Korea Resort in the run up to the grand opening.

The announcement event also introduced seven themed lands that will open in the Legoland Korea theme park:

Brick Street
LEGO Ninjago
Pirate Shore
LEGO Castle

Each land is set to open with its own themed attractions or rides.

Young Pil Kim, divisional director at Legoland Korea Resort, said: “We’re pleased to share our plan for grand opening and the release of the ‘1st to Play’ Annual Passes. Legoland Korea Resort, which is the 10th Legoland Resort in the world, will be the ultimate LEGO experience for kids aged 2-12 as well as adults who love LEGO®. Legoland Korea Resort will be positioned as the nation’s key family travel destination, providing an authentic LEGO experience through more than 40 rides, shows and attractions in addition to a unique 154-room Legoland Hotel.”

Legoland Korea Resort is expected to be built on Jungdo of Chuncheon in Gangwon Province and is set to open in May 2022.
