Bewilderwood has clarified plans for its second park, which it expects to open for summer 2019, with construction starting in the next couple of months.
Earlier this year Bewilderwood was awarded planning permission for a second site to build another adventure park on the estate of historic Cholmondeley Castle, in South Cheshire. The £5m park will be the second Bewilderwood site in England, the other is already a successful and award winning attraction in Norfolk, celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year.
The new environmentally sustainable attraction in Cheshire will include play structures, tree houses, boardwalks and a mystical boat ride. The park and activities are based on the narrative of A Boggle at Bewilderwood by author and park founder, Tom Blofeld.
There will be aerial and ground woodland walks linking a series of tree houses, play structures, as well as picnic and story-telling areas. Attractions within the adventure park will include the Broken Bridge; a challenging walk over invisible glass, the Wobbly Wires; a zip line and the Slippery Slopes slide. The 70-acre park expects to welcome around 300,000 visitors each year.
