Intercard kits out Four Seasons

Electronic payment specialist Intercard, has completed an installation for its new customer Four Seasons Bowling Center in Hillsboro, Oregon.

The remodelled bowling centre has a new arcade and uses Intercard for its debit card and redemption management system.

Four Seasons, run by George Mareina and his family since 1978, is now owned and operated by his son Daniel Mareina. Realising that they weren’t using their 16 bowling lanes to capacity, Daniel Mareina decided to increase revenue by adding a full-fledged arcade. He removed four lanes and replaced them with a new arcade and redemption area. “We had a few arcade games off to the side, but it wasn’t a real arcade,” explained Mareina. “Now we have 25 games and a redemption centre.”

Mareina evaluated several vendors and chose Intercard because “It seemed like it was a real simple system to use and that was what I was looking for. My staff picked it up incredibly fast. It definitely fits the bill on ease of use for the redemption side of things and my management are doing fine on the back office,” he said.

“Daniel and his team have done a great job. I had the opportunity to see Four Seasons Bowling Centre before and after the remodel and his arcade area looks great,” added Amber Collier of Intercard’s North American sales group. “I’m always excited to visit our new locations and I am pleased to welcome this great family-owned-and-run business to our Intercard family.”

Four Seasons is using Intercard’s iReader II Eclipse readers, an iTeller II kiosk and a Redemption POS system. Ryan Muller of Intercard installed the system and networking equipment in March 2017. Specialty Coin Products provided the arcade games and fitted them with Intercard readers.
