Galaxy America looks to simplify ninja courses

Galaxy Ninja course offers a more family-friendly experience

US rides and action games specialist Galaxy America has launched a new range of family-centric motorised adventure courses called Galaxy Ninja.

The courses are designed to be less intimidating and more user friendly. With suspended upper body challenges and floor-mounted obstacles, most action courses are geared towards more athletic users. Having canvassedd opinion from 50 of its clients in the US, the firm hit upon the idea of creating a less demanded form of assault course.  Production of the Galaxy Ninja courses commenced in June of this year.
“We closely monitored the increasing popularity of the “Ninja Warrior” courses, and while this type of activity is perfect for an athletic person, the average patron in a trampoline park would struggle to compete,” said Robin Whincup, president of Galaxy America. “This is why we created our courses. Most trampoline parks are family-oriented, and the concept of Galaxy Ninja is to create an interactive adventure course that anyone over four feet tall can participate in. The entire family can take part and have fun.”
The new course was showcased at the recent IATP (International Association of Trampoline Parks) Conference in Palm Springs, where the firm also showed its full range of action games popular for trampoline parks, including Toxic Trampoline Meltdown, an eight-player sweeper game.

“We were excited to show off our more seasoned, as well as our new, attractions at this year’s IATP,” said Mike Whincup, director of design and innovation. “Think ‘American Ninja Warrior’ meets ‘Wipeout,’ and that’s what the Galaxy Ninja is. It’s going to bring a whole new level of family fun to the parks.”
The courses are designed in 30’ x 20’, 30’ x 15’ and 30’ x 10’ modules, allowing Galaxy to configure a course to any shape or size to suit the client’s budget and floor space. All Galaxy Ninja courses come complete with the following features:

  • Electric interactive motion obstacles
  • Control system
  • Safety inflatable base cushion
  • Aluminum truss system
  • Suspended hanging obstacles
  • Foam/vinyl padded steel framed surround
  • Interactive electronic timer and scoreboard
  • Light and sound effects
