HIGH ROPES: Wilson’s Lifestyle in Sky Rail first

Wilson’s Lifestyle Centre, a retail-meets-entertainment facility in the city of Saskatoon, is the first customer to receive a 220-degree Sky Rail zip line by Ropes Courses.

The Sky Rail totals 200 feet in length and is the longest configuration of its kind.

“It’s exciting to work with customers on new and interesting ways to not only showcase their facility but also bring to light how much fun our amusement attractions can be,” said Caitlin McMahan, Ropes Courses, R&D Engineer.

The Sky Rail zip line is incorporated into a custom five-pole Sky Trail Navigator ropes course featuring 13 rope and plumber elements on two levels. It was installed in a section of the facility termed the Tropical House. The large 45-foot high atrium is filled with 30-foot tall palm trees and various tropical plants that help to enhance the overall space and give participants the feeling that they are zipping through the jungle.

The course and zip line stay on theme with the current colours at the Lifestyle Centre and showcase a vibrant purple fire, sprout green and mandarin orange. The Tropical House also features a Velocity Raceway which allows customers to race around a multi level go-kart track in electric cars.

The facility will be the only location in Saskatoon that houses a Ropes Courses attraction of its kind and plans on attracting customers from all around.

“We are thrilled to boast the world’s first Sky Rail that curves around the room” said Steve Wilson, president of Wilson’s Greenhouse and Wilson’s Lifestyle Centre, “Our new centre has something for everyone.”

The Sky Trail and Sky Rail is set to open to the public on 28th September.
