Helix makes key hires
Helix Leisure has made a number of key international appointments including a new MD for its Middle East office.
Rosa Tahmaseb is the new managing director for the Helix Leisure EMEA office in Dubai. She will oversee the company’s operations and work to identify and foster new opportunities in the European, Middle Eastern and Asian markets. Tahmaseb brings over 20 years of experience, most recently as the director of Operations for Edward Mellors Entertainment.
Helix Leisure COO, Luke McKimmie, said: “The challenge for any growing company is maintaining a high level of industry knowledge within the team and furthering positive relations with partners. We have worked alongside Rosa on numerous projects within our industry and a mutual respect quickly developed, which makes this appointment even more important to us.”
The firm has also appointed a 28-year veteran of the gaming industry, Guy Lee, as its operations director of the North American office, located in Dallas, Texas. He will oversee daily operations and provide key initiatives to continually streamline and improve system processes. His experience includes stints with Royal Caribbean International, Norwegian Cruise Line and, most recently, Gulfstream Park Racing & Casino, where he held the position of director of Slot Operations.
In addition, Shane Galford joins as the new support manager for Embed. With 10 years of IT management experience, he worked outside the out-of-home entertainment industry for companies including Meggitt and Reliant Worldwide Plastics.
General manager of Helix Leisure US, Ted Parsons, said: “Guy and Shane bring with them a depth of experience and knowledge to support our rapid growth and will be focused on serving our customers through enhancements to our Operations and Support Team.”
