Heide Park opens ‘toilet for all’ to promote disability access

Heide Park Resort, Soltau, has become the first amusement park in Northern Germany to open a “Toilette für alle”, which translates to “toilet for everyone”

Heide Park Resort’s the “toilet for everyone” is equipped with a ceiling lift and couch, and  is now available for people with severe and/or multiple disabilities to change incontinence pads, meaning that nothing stands in the way of a relaxing day in the park. 

INTENSIVkinder Niedersachsen, a German self-help organisation for parents with children who need long-term care, presented a seal of quality to the Heide Park Resort as part of its opening in compliance with new corona measures. The project, whiich cost approximately €60,000, was implemented by Merlin Entertainments, the Heide Park Resort and the RMT company from Dietzenbach.

Heide Park Resort is now open daily from 10am until 1 November.
