AstroSystems Ltd, suppliers of market-leading currency validation products, has announced the formal release of a software update that allows acceptance of the new ES2 series 10 Euro note, which is due to enter circulation in late September.
The timing of the update, which applies to the GBA ST2, ST1+, ST1-C and GV1 models, will allow machine manufacturers, operators and service centres to upgrade existing field units in good time for the release of the new banknote. A number of simple methods can be used to overwrite existing software files, such as USB flash drive reprogramming, and PC-based procedures utilising AstroSystems’ range of user-friendly software tools. All future orders will be loaded with the new software file as standard.
