Gameworks to donate 30,000 glow sticks to support children’s safety at Halloween

GameWorks has announced that it will donate 30,000 glow sticks nationwide to help ensure children’s safety during Halloween.

The glow sticks will be distributed throughout the seven markets the Company serves, including Virginia – Chesapeake, Denver – Northfield/Stapleton, Las Vegas – Town Square, Minneapolis – Mall of America, Cincinnati – Newport on the Levee (Ky.), Chicago – Schaumburg and Seattle – Downtown.

The recipients span local law enforcement agencies, schools, events and community centres and programs. In turn, these organisations will share the glow sticks with children throughout their local communities.

Furthermore, each GameWorks venue will give away 500 glow sticks; one to every child with the purchase of a kid’s meal from October 16-October 31, 2019, while supplies last. On Halloween, all guests can play unlimited video and arcade games for just $10.

“At GameWorks, we participate in regular community service events in all of our markets, which engages all GameWorks team members. We do this through both local and national programs. Our annual glow stick giveaway is yet another example of how much we value our guests and always seek to make a difference in the communities we serve.

“We designed these glow sticks to ensure easier ability to identify children at night to keep them visible and safe. Now in our second year of glow stick distribution, the local communities in which we operate have come to appreciate this benefit, which we are happy to provide,” said Philip N. Kaplan, chief executive officer at GameWorks.
