As Funplex in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, prepares for its opening this Spring on North Ocean Boulevard between 14th and 15th Avenue, seven new rides, all from SBF/Visa, have been announced.
New rides include Mach Fun, an SBF/Visa Tower Planes. It is the tallest, interactive 360° flying jet ride on the market, and first-of-its-kind in North America. Hook and Slice is a Mini Reverse Time, and Sky Velocity, a Drop and Twist Tower. Fun in the Sun is an SBF Visa Big Air Coaster with spinning cars and a so-called 360º Car that spins like a human hamster wheel. The Big Air Coaster was introduced by New Jersey-based Rides 4-U at the 2019 IAAPA Expo. Other new rides include Hang 10 Silly Cups, an SBF/Visa Tea Cups, Sunny Day Swing, an SBF/Visa Toy Swinger, and Up and Overboard, an SBF/Visa Space Gun.
Additionally, facing Ocean Avenue, is Off-the-Coast Beach Bar and Grill, The Funplex Myrtle Beach’s new bar and restaurant, will feature signature food and drink options just steps from the beach. This two-sided, walk-up bar and restaurant will offer eight domestic and local draft beers, custom frozen drinks and traditional bar and seafood options.
