FEC plans for Orlando mall

The new owners of Orlando’s Oviedo Mall are adding escape rooms, a children’s museum and restaurants as part of an expansion plan by new owner, International Growth Group.

The new 26,000-square-foot entertainment space will be called Arcadia and will feature a handful of escape rooms, and could include a small bowling alley, virtual reality gaming and a restaurant.

The mall is looking at 5,000 square feet as a “children’s museum” or an interactive play area aimed at younger kids.

International Growth Properties hopes to start construction on Arcadia in the next few months and they are planning to open it in the second quarter of 2018. Arcadia will take the place of a former Foot Locker store and other vacant retail.
