Fast Track boost for zip line firm

Fast growing firm makes vaunted Sunday Times list

Welsh attractions firm Zip World has made the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 as one of the UK’s fastest growing firms.

The company – whose attractions include the world’s fastest zip line, giant underground trampolines, and a forest coaster – has gone from eight employees in 2013 to 350 staff this summer. It was number 46 on the Sunday Times list.

“We are continuing on this journey and we keep investing back in the company”.

Turnover has now reached £30m, with millions of pounds of extra cash re-invested back into the business.

Over the year it has brought 340,000 participants to its attractions.

Zip World founder and commercial director Sean Taylor said: “That equates to more than 500,000 visitors. It is not just Zip World that are benefiting but the community around us as well, hotels, B&Bs, pubs and restaurants. That is what we want to see.”

The firm has continued to expand and in recent months has seen the Fforest Coaster open at Betws-y-Coed and the Adventure Terminal launch at the Penrhyn Quarry site in Bethesda.

Taylor added: “We are continuing on this journey and we keep investing back in the company. But our success is not just down to our world class products, it is also our world class staff.”
