The Universe Science Park in Nordborg, Denmark, teaches science and technology in a fun way.

Interactive exhibitions and rides combine knowledge with fun –and make physical concepts tangible for all age groups.

Just in time for the start of the new season, the theme park is offering exciting new attractions with two of the largest Family Rides from Sunkid – an eight-person Loopster and a Tower.

The park approached Sunkid in the autumn of 2024, looking for two family-friendly rides. These were to offer a high experience value and fit into the science-themed ride portfolio.

The most important decision criterion was the short realisation time (by early summer 2025). Thanks to the production capacities and many years of experience at the Sunkid Heege site in Bassenheim, Germany, the project could be implemented in the desired time.

The eight-cabin version of the Loopster, with its eye-catching yellow and orange design, is a so-called “space spinner” that thrills up to 480 passengers per hour.

By pressing buttons on the restraining device, the passengers themselves decide the direction of rotation (forwards and backwards) as well as short upside-down breaks.

The interactive Tower from Sunkid impressed the customer with its compact design and the minimal construction work required for the foundation.

The family ride was installed within five working days – including training of the park staff and official approval.

The attraction, designed in simple white and blue, invites you to pull yourself up and enjoy the 360° view. By letting go of the rope, visitors experience a short, gently braked free fall – a feeling that comes amazingly close to weightlessness. Or as the Universe Science Park describes its “Gravity Tower”.
