When the sun goes down, the dinosaurs come alive. Following the success of its members-only debut, Dinos After Dark returns to San Antonio Zoo due to popular demand.
This time, everyone is invited to experience the zoo after hours. On Saturday, Aug. 1, from 7 to 10 p.m., guests can explore glowing dinosaurs, colourful lighting, fog-filled pathways and unforgettable night-time photo opportunities during this prehistoric, family-friendly adventure.
Throughout the evening, guests can enjoy live entertainment, including a DJ, a fire dancer, a stilt walker, roving paleontologists, and the interactive Jurassic S.A. Dinosaur Experience. The evening will also feature prehistoric-themed food and beverages, including Flintstone Ribs, Volcano Nachos, Pterodactyl Legs, Dino Bones, the Rex-a-Rita (available in a souvenir puck or light-up pilsner), and family-friendly Dino Drinks, including lemonade and fruit punch.
Admission is FREE for San Antonio Zoo members with an active membership, while general admission is just $9.99 per person. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets online before arriving for the quickest entry into Dinos After Dark.
Dinos After Dark takes place during San Antonio Zoo’s limited-time Zoorassic Park, presented by Bank of Texas. Running now through Sept. 7, the attraction features 22 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs positioned throughout the zoo, bringing prehistoric giants to life around every corner, from a towering Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops to a stealthy Velociraptor.
San Antonio Zoo offers four levels of membership, starting with a “Pay for a Day, Get a Year Free” membership. Guests can purchase a membership online before the event to enjoy free admission to Dinos After Dark and year-round zoo benefits.
