Creative Works hosts final Amusement 360 event of 2022

On August 16-18, Creative Works hosted their final Amusement 360 Event of the year with a record attendance from existing operators and new startups in the entertainment industry.

More than 80 operators and entrepreneurs gathered in Indianapolis for multiple days of education, networking, and fun. The event focused on helping these attendees rediscover their purpose as leaders and their passion for the industry.

Creative Works brought in more than 15 expert speakers to present on a wide range of topics from talent acquisition and digital marketing, to food programs and corporate sales. The event also featured 3 operator interviews: Jeff and Sharolette Pierce from Atomic City shared how to create success in a small market, Craig Buster from Coconut Bowl discussed his experience building a strong team culture, and Brad and Keri Little from High talked about the challenges of scaling an entertainment business.

“I have been in the hospitality industry for 32 years and yet this event not only reminded me of things I should be doing; I learned new approaches to make us even better moving forward,” said Barry Taylor, one of the attendees.

The Creative Works team believes in empowering business owners beyond the typical X’s and O’s of operations, and they had multiple presentations focused on helping attendees become better, more fulfilled leaders. This culminated in the keynote presentation by Scott Harvey, a former FBI-trained hostage negotiator. He shared moving stories about the impact of communication and active listening.

“We’ve been hosting these events for more than a decade, and the attendees continue to inspire us with their enthusiasm and engagement,” added Danny Gruening, the VP of Marketing at Creative Works. “We are proud to serve this industry and create an event where business owners can become better leaders, better mentors, and better people.”

Attendees also got a behind-the-scenes look at the brand new Creative Works Theme Factory, a 65,000 square foot production facility where they bring their attractions to life.

“Attending this event is a no-brainer. You will laugh, learn, cry, and spend time with enormously kind and successful people who are willing to help you succeed,” said Will Douglas, an attendee who is opening his first entertainment venue.

Creative Works also announced Amusement 360 Event dates for 2023, and registration will open later this year. The events will be April 25-27, 2023 and September 19-21, 2023.
