China VMF show concludes

The 2020 Guangzhou International Vending Machines & Self-Service Facilities Fair (China VMF) took place this 3-5 August at China Import & Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou.

“I feel very proud to see that when almost all exhibitions worldwide have ground to a halt, China has still managed to put on such a wonderful vending show,” said Mr. Zhou Zirong, chairman of Convenisun, the biggest vending machine manufacturer in Guangdong province. China VMF also felt very proud to hold the first vending show worldwide in 2020 to make some contribution for the development of global vending industry.

To help insiders better grasp opportunities in these uncertain times, China VMF put in extra effort this year, such as offering special booths to qualified exhibitors, free accommodation to professional Chinese buyers and leveraging media resources to promote exhibitors online. According to organisers, the show attracted a record of 703 exhibitors-  more than double 2019’s figure.

New exhibitors included brands like Rhea Vendors, the oldest Italian vending machines maker established in the 1960s; Soyea, one of China’s biggest refrigerators and chest freezers makers entering the vending market in 2018 and GREE.

Impacted by the pandemic, products like contactless payment systems and vending machines for PPE were some of the most sought-after solutions on site.

China VMF 2021 will take place 4-6 March at China Import & Export Fair Complex.
