BoldMove showcases products at IAAPA Expo Europe

At IAAPA Expo Europe, which took place on September 13-15 at ExCeL London, The BoldMove Nation stand was buzzing with live demonstrations in multiple languages, storytelling sessions and a Happy Hour. Three large screens, supplied by partner Panasonic, provided a vivid taste of the BoldMove experience design services and media products.

BoldMove’s Smash & Reload interactive ride was a huge talking point among visitors at its stand.  ​ With an innovative yet proven ride technology by partner Triotech, CEO Benoit Cornet succeeded in distilling the best elements of a dark ride into a fun family experience.

Benoit Cornet said: “We were so pleased to talk with customers directly on the show, explaining them that Smash & Reload is so much more than a compact shooting dark ride. We designed this as an attraction that can stand on its own in a theme park, like the one we now build in France, or that can be integrated into an FEC. On a small footprint we generate lots of energy and theming, offering a vibrant gameplay and dynamic vehicle motions across five scenes up to the finale with high scoring.”

BoldMove presented at the show three different IPs: the proprietary TooMush in co-creation with Polymorph, Daltons and Marsupilami from Mediatoon Licensing.

Product manager Sven Popelier demonstrated BoldMove’s new AR Dino Portal, created with partner ActiveMe. He guided visitors into a 360-degree virtual underwater world and jungle, populated with ancient Dino creatures. The portal is part of the AR Hybrid Quest, a phygital adventure trail that can be played on the smartphone or table. It comprises AR portals and AR mini games in which missions can be completed during a quest across the premises. AR Hybrid Quest is ideal to let visitors discover the park or leisure venue in a fun manner, combined with features for crowd management and loyalty programmes. BoldMove partner Klaus Sommer Paulsen of AdventureLAB, and author of ‘Integrated Storytelling by Design’ applies his expertise to create a compelling story and immersive family experience.
