Cheshire’s first bouldering centre is set to open its doors in July, boasting indoor climbing walls for guests of all ages and abilities.

BoulderHut is currently undergoing internal building work, and a wall design is also in production with Walltopia, a Bulgarian manufacturer of climbing walls. The newly leased centre is an industrial unit that spans 17,000 square-feet.

BoulderHut will feature over 250 different climbs and have separate Boulder Zoo and Boulder Play areas for younger guests. Elite training, coaching, kid’s clubs, and party facilities are also available, as well as a café and shop.

Bouldering is described as a shorter version of rock climbing, done without ropes, and will be included in the 2020 Olympics, and BoulderHut itself was founded by climbers with 40 years of experience between them.
