“We are extremely delighted that the majority of our exhibitors have signed significant contracts during the show. Many meetings and business contacts have been created and developed as exhibitors reached out to several visitors and trade partners at the show. There has been a renewed zest in the industry and we are sure that the region will be witnessing state-of-the-art Family Entertainment Centres (FEC) due to the ingenious products that were showcased at DEAL. Themeparks in this region have also been growing on an upward spiral with innovate concepts showcased at this show to attract footfalls from residents and tourists alike,” said Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, chairman of IEC.

“Consumer preferences are gliding towards adrenalin-pumping rides, interactive games, virtual reality games, redemption games and high-tech video games among others,” added Sharif Rahman, CEO of IEC. “Year 2017 looks promising for our industry as most amusement operations have registered a growth in revenue and footfall year on year. We are confident that the amusement industry in the region is heading in the right direction. Theme parks generate huge revenues and so do Family Entertainment Centre’s (FEC) which are key service anchors that support the many retail developments within the Middle East. It helps such developments to attract and register family footfall.”

Next year’s DEAL is scheduled for 8th – 10th April 2018 at the World Trade Centre, Dubai.
